Beaded Cradle, Apache, circa 1890.

The materials are a willow wood bent frame; slats made from lumber yard pine, Italian glass trade beads sewn onto tanned deerskin, dried gourds, seashells and a silk scarf. Condition is original with no restorations.

This cradle was part of the Hubert Guy Collection of Southern California. Mr. Guy first began his Apache collection in the 1960's and amassed one of the most extensive groups of Apache material ever assembled.
